The Board of Police Commisioners
The Board of Police Commissioners is charged with the duty to appoint, promote, discipline, and remove all sworn officers of the Police Department, with the exception of the Chief of Police, in accordance with State Statute.
The Board consists of three residents of the Village:
- Bill Bishop
- Robert Spencer
- Raymond Picl, Sr.
Board members are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Village Board of Trustees. Members serve a term of three years. The Police Board of Commissioners is led by President Bill Bishop.
Police Pension Board
State statute provided for the powers and duties of this Board which is responsible for controlling and managing the Police Pension Fund. The Police Pension Fund has been established for the benefit of its police officers and for the benefit of their widows, children, and certain other dependents.
The Police Pension Board is composed of five members elected to two year terms. Two of the five members are appointed by the Mayor, two are from the regular police force and are elected by the active members of the police force, and the fifth member is elected by the beneficiaries of the Police Pension Fund. Its members are as follows:
- Greg Fletcher (Mayor appointed)
- Jodi Brackney (elected)
- Cody Wilson (elected)
- Glenn Neal (elected)
- Stephanie Turner (Treasurer - Mayor appointed)
The Police Pension Board meets quarterly.
Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board's primary duty is to hear petitions or appeals to the application of the terms of the Village's Zoning Code. The Zoning Board has limited authority to grant variations to the provisions of the Zoning Code and primarily only grants a variance when the property owner can demonstrate that the Zoning Code imposes practical difficulties or particular hardship not created by the property owner.
This Board consists of nine (9) members who are residents of the Village:

- Mike Woo - 2017-2020
- Tessie Bucklar - 2017-2018
- Dan Maloof - 2017-2019

- Elizabeth Khazzam - 2017-2018
Members of the Zoning Board are appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees, to serve a term of five years or until their successors are duly appointed. The Zoning Board is led by Chairman Rick Picl and meets on the third Monday of every month in Village Hall beginning at 5:30 pm.
