Tower Park

Adjacent to Village Hall, Tower Park was built in 1968. It was totally renovated in 2003 with a large water fountain and a 44’ pavilion for community events to compliment it's  200’ water tower. 

The in use 500,000 gallon water tower has three observation decks. Riding it's exterior glass elevator 200 feet above Peoria Heights and the Illinois River Valley gives one a panoramic view of the entire area. On a clear day you can see for 20 miles.
The theme for the park is 'View the Wonder'.

Along with it's 200’ Observation Tower, the park possesses a beautiful water fountain, children's playground, pavilion, multiple tables for enjoying a lunch, and a bronze monument of Abraham Lincoln designed by Gutzon Borglum (designer of Mt. Rushmore) that is identical to two other sculptures, one in front of Lincoln's Tomb in Springfield, Illinois, and the other in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda at Washington, D.C.

Glide 200 feet to the top of the tower in our enclosed glass elevator to "View the Wonder" for many miles of the Illinois River Valley. On top of 500,000 gallons of clean, pure well water, there are three separate observation decks designed to provide a spectacular panorama in all directions. There are three telescopes available for even closer viewing. This structure is the only one of its kind in the U.S.A. The Observation Tower is open from the last part of April through October (weather permitting).

Family Season Pass - $40.00
Card holder and up to three additional family members.

Season Pass - $20.00
Card holder plus one guest.

Season passes are available for unlimited visits to the observation decks during normal operating hours. July 3rd and 4th are excluded.

Cash only, no refunds. Last tickets are sold 30 minutes prior to closing.

OBSERVATION TOWER or PAVILION RENTAL
