The Village of Peoria Heights is currently in a Phase 1 engineering and environmental study of Prospect Road from War Memorial Drive to Tower Park as part of a planned reconstruction of that corridor, which includes the Heights’ downtown.

Hanson Professional Services of Peoria is conducting this initial study, which is being paid for through a $2 million federal grant secured by Congressman Darin LaHood and a $500,000 Village contribution. The study is expected to be completed by late 2026.
