PEORIA HEIGHTS: The Village of Peoria Heights will hold a Public Informational Meeting regarding the proposed improvements along Prospect Road from War Memorial Drive (US 150) to Kingman Avenue. The informational meeting will be held at the Village of Peoria Heights, 4901 N Prospect Road, Peoria Heights, on Thursday, May 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend this meeting. Persons with a disability planning to attend this meeting should contact one of the individuals listed below by May 14, if special accommodations are required. The meeting room is accessible to persons with a disability.

This is a federally funded project, and the public Information Meeting is being held in compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and the Illinois Department of Transportation’s public involvement policy.

The proposed improvements include pavement reconstruction/rehabilitation of Prospect Road, sidewalks, multi-use path, storm sewer, traffic signals, streetscape, curb & gutter, and ADA improvements.

The meeting will be conducted on an informal open-house basis. Representatives of the Village of Peoria Heights and the project study team will be available to discuss the project. Representatives will answer individual questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Verbatim comments will not be recorded. Preliminary exhibits will be available for viewing the entire time. The LPA representatives will address topics such as the need for the project, the proposed design, right-of-way acquisition and project schedule.
