Village Board adopts long-term comprehensive plan
The Peoria Heights Village has unanimously adopted a new comprehensive plan that will help guide development in the community over the next 20 years.

There is a NEW and EXCITING EVENT coming to your community on SEPTEMBER 18-19, 2021!
The Bridge-to-Bridge River Drive includes Peoria Heights, Chillicothe, Lacon, and Spring Bay. Two days for visitors to create memories while exploring the Arts, Dining, Entertainment, Shopping, Sports and Visual Majesty of our brilliant and unique locations.
This event presents an opportunity for local government agencies, businesses, non-profit organizations, and community residents to participate and plan an event for one or both days. There are no fees required for participation and all revenue is retained by the community participant.
This event is sponsored by your community, Morton Community Bank and Stratus Networks.

Village Hall Holiday Hours
Village Hall will be closing at 2pm on Friday, May 28th in observance of Memorial Day.
It will reopen at 8am Tuesday, June 1st.

The Peoria Heights Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Monday, June 21, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 4901 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights, Illinois.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following requests:
1. Variance application filed by William and Rebecca Cochran seeking approval of a fence variance to allow construction of a front yard fence on a corner lot, which will be located less than 10 feet from the property line abutting the street, which is less than required by Section 10-4-7(D)(1)(b) of the Village Code for the property located at 5813 N. Galena Road, Peoria Heights, Illinois, 61616 (PIN No. 14-14-351-001), which property is current zoned R-1 (Low Density Residential District).
3. Special Use application filed by Jacob Davenport / Davenport, LLC seeking a special use for installation of a digital electronic multiple message sign pursuant to Section 9-4-10(E) of the Village Code for the property located at 4301 - 4303 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights, Illinois, 61616 (PIN No. 14-22-382-019), which property is currently zoned B-2 (General Retail Business District).

Military veterans choose Peoria Heights to show off their artwork
A central Illinois arts and support group for military veterans is creating a sculpture that will occupy a prominent spot on the Rock Island Greenway through the Heights, while also displaying several pieces of art in the Village Board room through the month of May.
